**The Role & Team**
Staying Close is a project that seeks to improve the lives of looked after young people when they’re moving into independence. The support workers role will be to provide practical and emotional support according to their specific needs. Typically, service users include vulnerable children and young adults, young offenders, and those suffering with alcohol and substance miss use or mental health issues. The service users will have historic evidence of not being able to live independently either physically or mentally.

**Your Responsibilities**
The main aim of the support worker is to help service users learn to live as independently as possible, by identifying and supporting them in their areas of need. Thereby enabling them to have the skills to live independently. They may work with service users who have short term support needs or those with longer term or lifelong difficulties. The level of support given to the service users will vary depending on the specifications of their needs, there will be clear plans of support which will be produced by all professionals involved. The support will be based within semi-independence flats, outreach in young people homes, care homes, community and at organised drop in session.

**This role is a front line role.**

**Salary**: £22,129.00 per year
