Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ability to work safely under the National Roads & Street Works Act.
- NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding.
- Safe working practices and Gas testing.
- Use of telecoms installation and test equipment.
- Work with fibre cables to client specification.
- Work on internal database to record actions and daily whereabouts.
- Ensure all equipment used meets recognised safety standards including but not limited to tools and testers.
- Ability to record changes and updates made, as a result of work carried out, updating Instalcom with details on task closure.

Training:

- Cable Engineers will be placed on an initial induction at our Instalcom Head Office at Borehamwood for the day. They will then be assigned to a team with 4-6 members. (Minimum team of 2).
- Ongoing training will continue to be provided at our internal training centre.

**Skills and Experience**:
**YOU MUST HAVE A FULL UK MANUAL DRIVERS LICENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE**
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
- Must be very well presented.
- Good observational skills with a good eye for detail.
- Must have good IT skills (Able to use a tablet).
- Comfortable working outside in all elements of weather.
- Act professionally at all times.
