This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the world's leading R&D companies as they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer based attheir state of the art R&D facility in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire in the UK.
For this Mechanical Design Engineer job you will be responsible for the development of high quality, high demand products sold into a regulated environment and supporting the product design throughout its life, making continuous improvements to improve productvalue.
Key responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer job will be:
- Responsible for all aspects of product design, from concept to manufacture.
- Provide technical input and guidance to others enabling them to deliver compliant solutions.
- Deliver innovative solutions using industry best practices and in line with company processes to meet technical and business requirements.
- Working within small multi-disciplined teams, deliver work packages on target.
- Provide input and support for the preparation and maintenance of programs of work.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will require the following qualifications, education and previous experience requirements:
- Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design
- 3D CAD competencies - Solidworks (preferred) or Creo
- To succeed in this position, you must have proven ability of creating and promoting design concepts, from initial requirements definition, through to production
- Aptitude for industrial design and product styling.
- Knowledge and experience of current manufacturing methods, particularly mouldings and mould tool construction, with a proven ability to select materials and finishes.
