Restaurant Receptionist

Eden is a tearoom/restaurant and arts complex located in the picturesque village of Newburgh in West Lancashire. Our 4000 Sq Ft two floor building houses a tearoom, art gallery, artisan retail and a workshop area.

Requirements for Tearoom Host/Receptionist:

- Greeting customers with a warm, friendly welcome.
- Using a booking system to ensure customers are sat in the correct order and at the correct tables.
- Seating customers promptly on appropriately sized tables.
- Liaising with the management team to ensure that tables are set up correctly, i.e. setting up the table for the appropriate amount of customers next booked in.
- Communicating any unavailable menu items to new customers as you seat them.
- Updating customers as to how long the waiting time is when seated.
- Taking payment for bills

These are the main responsibilities of the host, however you may be required to support with other tasks such as occasionally helping to clear tables efficiently of any finished dishes/glasses and helping to bring out food.

We are looking for someone who is used to working in a fast paced environment, we are a very busy restaurant and as such only experienced applicants will be considered for the role.
- This is primarily a weekday role between 9-4 with the flexibility of covering holidays & sickness at the weekend *
