**The Role****:

- **Workshop Labourer

This is a wide-ranging support role for our workshop activities. Primarily supporting our experienced team of Fabricators and Machinists, but also general housekeeping and logístical support; as required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Preparation and cutting of materials and delivery to workstations; whilst complying with our material traceability requirements.
- Weld prepping & post weld cleaning.
- Operation of basic workshop machinery, saws, drills, grinders etc.
- De-burring & cleaning.
- Swarf removal and coolant top-ups.
- Day to day general maintenance of equipment ensuring that any faults are reported.
- Packaging and preparation of products ready for despatch.
- General housekeeping within the site.
- Forklift Truck and Overhead Crane activities.
- Local deliveries and collections using company vehicles.
- Accurate processing of work sheets and QA documentation.
- All duties to be completed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Competent in use of basic hand tools and understanding of basic workshop machinery.
- A basic understanding of engineering drawings would be highly beneficial.
- Full and clean driving licence.
- Must be comfortable working in a busy environment and be able to use your initiative and plan in advance.
- Self-motivated with a good work ethic and attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking and conscientious.
- Have numeracy skills for measuring and recording of data.
- Good communication skills.

Normal hours of work Mon-Thu 8:00 - 16:30 & 08:00 - 16:00 Friday. (Occasional overtime may be required).
