**Job description**

BSNI have a fantastic opportunity for Belfast Council seeking a Plumber

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4.30pm

Rate of pay: £15.43 per hour basic.

**Main purpose of job**

To be responsible to the Building Services Manager, M&E Manager and other appropriate Officers for the undertaking of plumbing and related work as directed within the Building Services Unit, either individually or as part of a team.

**Summary of responsibilities and personal duties**

1. To carry out as directed the full range of work associated with this trade in all of the Council’s properties throughout the city.

2. To work from working drawings, specifications and related documentation supplied.

3. To identify, order and collect materials as required in liaison with the Materials Co-ordinator.

4. To provide as required all job costing and time recording information using the documentation provided.

5. To assist in on-the-job coaching and training, eg new employees, contractors and temporarily assigned apprentices etc.

6. To participate in a 24-hour emergency callout service.

7. To drive council vehicles as required.

8. To participate as directed in all Quality Assurance procedures and initiatives, including the completion and submission of appropriate documentation.

a) be fully qualified plumbers in possession of an NVQ Level 2 Plumbing and Heating qualification, or equivalent relevant qualifications;
b) have a full, current driving licence which enables them to drive in Northern Ireland, or, have access to a form of transport which enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full[1]; and
