**Job Title Operations Assistant**

**Role Description**

This is a key role within the Operations team, to maintain excellent customer service by ensuring the correct export documentation is produced to allow cargo to be shipped to its destination and once it has arrived ensuring the cargo can be released to the customer.

**Reporting to**: Operations Director

**Person Specification**

**Experience**

**Essential**
- Experience working in a customer service environment
- Experience of working in import/export freight forwarding would be a distinct advantage
- Conversant with Multifreight or similar sea export booking platform
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly Outlook

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Good level of education in Maths and English

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process booking information
- Chase missing shipping information
- Marking and checking terminal VGM
- Deal with shipping instructions
- Request telex releases and update customer
- Process amendments to bills of lading if required
- Pass all documentation to accounts once completed
- As operations assist, you may be required to work within your capability in other areas of the operations team. This may include extra learning and will form part of your development.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
