Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week

To oversee that all patient registrations, data entries, statistical information etc. are accurately input onto the computer systems in line with departmental/hospital procedures and to set deadlines. To manage the clerical workload in order that a high quality word processing and document production service takes place in within Integrated Discharge Hub. This comprises all types of documents such as standard letters and forms, memos, minutes, reports, patient information etc. To liaise with colleagues within COCH/CWP, in GP surgeries and other health organisations on any relevant issues.To coordinate the requisitioning of procurement for the Hub and establish links with the Supplies and Procurement department.To exercise initiative and problem-solving skills in day-to-day tasks of the job and take responsibility for your own workload. To maintain and improve skills by undertaking appropriate training relevant to the post.To undertake other clerical duties, when required, as directed by the Discharge Hub Lead.To maintain comprehensive information systems in order to have immediate access to relevant, up to date information.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.

The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services.
