We have an exciting opportunity with one of our clients, an award-winning university, who require a Product Manager to support their ongoing digital transformation.

**Overview**:
You will also be a key member of the leadership team with a core role embedding continuous improvement and community of practice within the service, across the department and the organisation with the ability to command respect and to create a sense of community.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Manage the demand for change within your portfolios. Working with the business owners and experts in DT to ensure that both short and long-term demand is validated, prioritised and delivered.

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders
- Work with the relevant Business Owners, using strong communication and negotiation skills as appropriate, to ensure appropriate and achievable plans are in place that benefit the full stakeholder community.
- Scan the market to identify trends and emerging solutions that may warrant consideration with colleagues in the business and in Digital Technologies
- Assist with Disaster recovery planning and the creation of business continuity plans
- Facilitate strong relationships and partnerships with vendors to ensure that we have early sight of, along with an opportunity to contribute to and influence future developments and enhancements such that we can take advantage of them as appropriate. Ensurethe appropriate experts from DT, specifically system analysts, are engaged with vendors through user groups and other channels and forums to influence vendor roadmap and solution design.
- Play a key role in the procurement process for new vendors and products, ensuring the vendor will adhere to our vendor management strategy, and the product represents a suitable fit with the rest of the portfolio.

Contribute to the strong reputation of Digital Technologies.
- Seeking support as appropriate, take ownership of problems/issues and ensure that appropriate and timely communication is given to stakeholders
- Horizon scan to identify and share emerging technologies and trends that they can exploit, or which may present a risk

**Essential skills & experience**:

- Excellent communication and engagement skills across a range of stakeholder groups. In particular the ability to articulate the value of technology adoption and the ability to listen to and understand the needs of stakeholders
- The ability to work with influence inside and outside of the organisation so that people can be persuaded
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage complex workloads
- Creating improvement plans
- Experience of working in a project delivery environment
- Working in a complex IT environment.
