We are CH&CO, we’re proud to take a more thoughtful, mindful approach to the food experiences we source, prepare and present. We are recruiting for a People Advisor to work with us in our Education and Healthcare divsion. This is a Monday to Friday hybrid role with time based in sites, our Reading head office and from home. We are looking for someone who can act as the first point of contact for all customers that require HR support with regards to the employee life cycle and Employee Relations issues.

**You will be...**
- Responsible for managing the full employee life cycle, from the initial onboarding process right through to exiting the company and any contract changes that occur whilst in employment
- Supporting and advising on a wide range of ER cases including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance management, redundancy, and probation
- Assisting People Business Partners with complex cases
- Management of long and short-term sickness with the support of the People Business Partner if required. This includes arranging welfare meetings and occupational health appointments, providing referral documents, discussing the way forward and supporting with dismissals due to ill health/capability should this be the outcome
- Supporting management with the preparation of ER documentation in a timely manner
- Support People Business Partners with TUPE administration. This involves creating source datasheet, ensuring all correspondence is sent to employees, operations and payroll and is prepared to the highest standard in a timely manner
- Have 2+ years’ generalist HR experience, able to advise management on ER issues
- Strong working practice of the onboarding process
- Good knowledge of HR policies and procedures including Employee Relations
- An excellent level of computer knowledge, keyboard skills and software (HR database and spreadsheet) expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases are essential to enable report writing when required. Ability to manipulate datasets
- Preferable - knowledge of processing DBS checks and safer recruitment documentation
- CIPD qualification or relevant HR experience is essential
