**Location**: United Kingdom, Fully Remote

**Roles**
- Support the Compliance Officer as they guide the Compliance Operations team in ensuring that Currenxie UK Limited (“Currenxie”) complies with external regulatory and legislative obligations (“Regulatory Compliance” or “RC”) as well as to the organisation’s resulting internal controls.
- Assist the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”) in mitigating Financial Crime (“FC”, consisting of AML/CFT; Anti-Bribery & Corruption; Fraud; Financial Sanctions) risk by identifying relevant risks and by implementing effective operational controls to minimise those risks.
- Provide credible challenge and instruction to stakeholders in developing and maintaining appropriate processes to identify, prioritise, monitor, control and report key regulatory and FC risks that will impact Currenxie’s ability to achieve its key business and strategic objectives.
- Report to Senior Management and the Board of Directors, as required, on potential or realised incidents ; breaches; losses; and effectiveness of controls pertaining to RC and/or FC.
- Maintain the RC and FC Policies; carry out the supervision of underlying procedures; and test relevant processes.
- Ensure coordination with Second and First Line of Defence stakeholders in the design and execution of testing and monitoring programs establishing Control effectiveness across Currenxie and its activities.
- Review and propose refinements to Controls related to regulatory and legislative requirements pertaining to Hong Kong-based activities, including those supported through outsourcing.
- Conduct monitoring and testing, themed and periodic, to ensure that requirements are being met per Policy, Procedures, and Controls, i.e. Quality Assurance.
- Support Senior Management in the monitoring of effectiveness of outsourced service providers and vendors.
- Support Compliance Operations, and the First Line of Defence, in the design and implementation of effective risk-based approaches to the management of Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism, including in the performance of Customer Due Diligence during onboarding and on an ongoing basis through periodic review and ongoing monitoring.
- Track transaction monitoring requirements and rules, and review resulting alerts presented by Compliance Operations through the course of the relationship.
- Investigate and submit Suspicious Activity Reports, where delegated, as Deputy MLRO.
- Support the Compliance Officer in satisdying Law Enforcement, or other authorised or designated bodies, Requests For Information.
- Act as a delegated point of contact with the Financial Conduct Authority, National Crime Agency, HMRC, and other other authorised or designated bodies.
- Support the Internal Audit function in carrying out internal audit programs.
- Provide leadership, direction, and management of the Compliance team in HK, and report on the performance of the team to stakeholders.

**Attributes**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading teams fulfilling RC and FC management functions within regulated financial services in Hong Kong, preferably in Fintech/Payments.
- Managed teams of up to 3 people, with direct and indirect reports.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment, risk requirements, and standards within the United Kingdom.
- Background in designing, adapting, and managing ongoing testing and reporting processes.
- Ability to maintain and refine consistent frameworks across a number of areas.
- Experienced in the provision of accurate and timely management information and reports.
- Highly organised with a deadline-driven approach to delivery.
- Clear, logical decision-making matched with skills to encourage change.
- Highly adaptable in meeting the needs of internal stakeholders and partnering with same to overcome complex issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
