**Assistant Management Accountant**

**£28,000 - £30,000 + bonus + study support**

We are currently working with a thriving FTSE 100 client who are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. This position will report into the Head of Finance and be responsible for managing the day-to-day financefunction and supervise a small, experienced transactional finance team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting in all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting ensuring that all reporting deadlines are met
- Provide financial assistance/decision making support to the Head of Finance
- Develop and maintain financial policies and adhere to financial procedures ensuring consistent, accurate and robust accounting information produced
- Ensure the smooth running of the Purchase Ledger, Subcontract Ledger, Sales Ledger and Cashbook functions
- Assistance in preparation of all VAT and payments made in connection with purchases and sales
- Assist in the preparation of bi-monthly Management Accounts and supporting analysis & narrative
- Assist in the preparation of monthly P&L and cash flow operating forecasts and land expenditure forecasts
- Fully AAT Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant (ACA or CIMA) ideally with some previous experience in a Management Accountant role
- Able to communicate with staff at all levels of the business and possess the ability to translate and explain key issues (sometimes complex) to non-financial staff
- Good commercial awareness and the ability to review, interpret and then challenge information and explanations behind cost movements and budget variances
- Experience of using MS Office, and in particular Excel spreadsheet and modelling also helpful
