Harpenden Mencap has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to join the team and transform our fundraising activity.

Building on a solid base of currently unsolicited donations, you will proactively fundraise to support us to deliver our ambitious new growth plans. Your work will enable us to realise our new fundraising strategy, which will see us double our voluntary income over the next five years. You will help us to deliver a small scale capital appeal, new fundraising campaigns and scope the feasibility of an annual challenge event.

You will be off to a great start with a portfolio which already includes two successful annual fundraising events and a strong giving history from major donors and trusts and foundations.

You will have experience of professional fundraising, creating compelling cases for support and will be confident in speaking to existing and potential donors. You will understand how to work effectively with fundraising committees and volunteers and have a keen interest in social media.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 37 per week
