**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate overhead cranes and slinging techniques using appropriate lifting equipment and accessories
- Accurately interpret technical drawings to set up and fold jobs to tight tolerances
- Operate the Bystronic Xact Smart 225 Press Brake, including tooling changes, program selection, and use of angle compensation tools
- Inspect materials prior to bending to ensure the correct grade and specification
- Carry out quality checks during and after folding to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Complete job cards to ensure accurate readings of processed orders
- Maintain a clean and organised machine and working area
- Collaborate with team members in the profile shop to ensure smooth day to day operations
- Support other profiling processes as required

Health and Safety:

- PPE (including ear defenders) will be supplied and must be worn at all times on the shop floor
- Machine must be returned to its parked position at the end of each shift
- All operations must be carried out in accordance with site safety procedures, including safe lifting practices

**Hours of Work**:

- Tuesday 8:00am - 4:10pm
- Thursday 8:00am - 4:10pm

Please note hours may vary to meet business needs

We are looking for an experienced individual who can walk into this role with confidence and competence. Applicants must have:

- Proven experience operating a Bystronic press brake (Xact Smart 225 preferred)
- Competence in safe operation of overhead cranes and lifting equipment
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- A proven track record of working to tight tolerances with steel plate
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safe working practices
