Seven Resourcing are looking to fill a Head of SEND and Inculsion role in Hammersmith and Fulham.

As the Head of SEND and Inclusion, you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing all aspects of the SEND and Inclusion service in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. You will be responsible for ensuring that all children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are identified and supported to achieve their full potential, as well as promoting and implementing inclusive practices across all educational settings.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a strategic vision for SEND and Inclusion in Hammersmith and Fulham, ensuring that it aligns with national and local policies, legislation and guidance.
- Provide leadership and management of the SEND and Inclusion service, including line management of staff, budget management and ensuring effective communication and engagement with all stakeholders.
- Ensure that all children and young people with SEND are identified and assess promptly, receive appropriate support and are able to access education, training and employment opportunities that meet their needs.
- Work closely with educational settings, including schools, colleges, nurseries and independent providers, to ensure inclusive practices are embedded and that the curriculum and learning environment is accessible to all learners.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with parents/carers, young people, health, social care and other professional agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
- Ensure that the SEND Local Offer is relevant, accessible and up-to-date, and that it provides clear information and advice to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the SEND and Inclusion service, including the use of data and performance management systems to identify areas for improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant degree or professional qualification and significant experience in SEND and inclusion.
- Knowledge and understanding of national and local policies and legislation relating to SEND and Inclusion.
- Experience of working effectively in partnership with a range of stakeholders, including parents/carers, young people, education providers, health and social care agencies and other professional groups.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to manage staff, budgets and resources, and to motivate and influence others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making and service development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work flexibly, autonomously and collaboratively, with a commitment to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion.
