**Quantity Surveyor -Residential Building**
Job Title:Quantity Surveyor - Residential Building

Based: London
Remuneration: £45,000 - £60,000 + Bonus
Benefits: Travel allowance & comprehensive benefits package
The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Residential Building will involve:
- Quantity surveyor position for UK residential building projects such as extensions, renovations and new builds
- Accurately reviewing tender documents, contracts, budgets and BOQs
- Attend pre-contract meetings and liaising with the projects team
- Monitoring all site activity and documenting any variations
- Establishing and building good relationships with the clients
- Preparing prices and forecasts for each project
- Sourcing construction and specialist material costs as required
- Track changes to the design and construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Procure contractors and subcontractors who will work on the project
- Writing up reports regarding the project as required
- Quantity Surveying for projects varying in value from £50k to £1.5m
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Residential Building industry with:
- Must have Quantity Surveying experience in the UK residential market (3 years min.)
- Ideally will be degree level educated in a construction field, however this isn’t essential
- Good understanding of technical drawings
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent relationship builder with good negotiation skills
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Confident and articulate
- Ability to plan and organise deliverables
