- Create purchase orders, arrange authorising and process them using our systems.
- Develop good working relationships with key suppliers.
- Obtain quotes and lead times from our existing supplier network.
- Find new suppliers when appropriate.
- Book in deliveries on our system to ensure correct stock management.
- Work with Manufacturing team to ensure deliveries are received on time.
- Work with Manufacturing to carry out monthly stock checks.
- Manage and implement monthly scheduled orders.
- Prepare all relevant paperwork to ensure customer orders are shipped.
- Monitor Pass/fail rates of products and record the results for KPIs.
- Price and investigate lead times/delivery dates for products.
- Any other purchasing tasks as specified.
- Do any ad-hoc work such as stock takes, auditing, photocopying, filing, opening post, answering the phone and any other tasks as required.
- Engage and comply with the company on all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements for both yourself and others.
- Behave in a way that is consistent with the company values, and to follow all company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with all departments across the business to ensure efficiency.
