The School of Computing, Engineering and Digital technologies has recently been awarded grant funding for research on direct air capture. One part of the project aims to develop a thermochemical energy storage system for the direct air capture process.

We are seeking a Research Associate who will be responsible for carrying out the performance evaluation of a thermochemical energy storage system using inorganic compounds, including the process design of the experimental unit.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and carry out experimental studies of thermochemical energy storage system using inorganic compounds, including characterisation and analytical studies.
- Contribute to the design, procurement, commissioning and operation of the laboratory scale test unit.
- Work with the project team including researchers at Teesside University and project partners
- Analyse and interpret data as directed
- Disseminate research findings, including drafting academic publications or parts thereof, for example at seminars and as posters
