Technical Assistant

We’re looking for an experienced theatrical/venue technician with the passion and drive to join our dedicated technical team. You will be working in a busy and varied environment to provide technical, logístical and building support for events within our venues, including two theatre spaces and our 1200 capacity venue the Anson Rooms. Events include student society productions, Bristol SU events and external conferences. You must have experience in setting up and operating sound, lighting and AV equipment.

**Hours**: 21 hours per week part time (to be worked flexibly)

**Salary**: The starting salary for this role is £24,500 per annum FTE. The Grade range for this Assistant grade role is £24,500 - £34,368 and pay can progress annually through the band in line with our pay and reward policy.

**Contract**: Permanent

- You’ll have experience in Set-up and operate technical equipment to support safe, quality events.
- You’ll be able to provide excellent customer service to customers, visitors and our members at Bristol SU
- You know how to Rigg and program sound, lighting and AV equipment.
- You’re skilled in identifying, reporting or resolving problems/issues as they arise
