**Job - **Cardiac Superintendant Radiographer
**Location -** The Wellington Hospital, London
**Contract Type -** Permanent, full time at 37.5 hours per week
**Salary Range **-Competitive dependent upon skills and experience.
**Job Description
To work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the cardiac catheter laboratories and to maintain professional standards of technical competence and high standards of patient care at all times
**Duties & Responsibilities
- Be the lead radiographer in the Cardiac Angiography Service
- Provide specialist knowledge to advise and support the Cardiology Management team and Consultant Cardiologists in order to provide the highest quality service to patients
- Be an integral part of the cardiology and radiology management team providing support and advice about all aspects involving the delivery of the radiographic service within the cardiac catheter suite
- Organise and co-ordinate the cardiac angiographic service from a radiographic perspective, recommending policy or service changes as necessary to provide an optimal service
- Deputise for the Cardiology Manager as required; co-ordinate the multi-disciplinary team facilitating agreement and co-operation between all parties
- Manage and continually develop the cardiac imaging service to provide a range of interventional cardiology procedures
- Ensure the unit runs smoothly and efficiently, remaining open to new ideas
**Skills & Experience
- Hold a BSc. or equivalent / higher qualification in Diagnostic Imaging
- HCPC Registered
- Membership of the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) or equivalent professional body
- Have at least extensive post graduate experience with at least 3 years recent relevant cardiac experience
