You must be willing to get your hands dirty in a heavy plant environment and not be adverse to training and developing your skills.
**Responsibilities**
This is a permanent Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter position and working 4 on and 4 off, days shift.
Your role will include:
Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery, including crushing, extruders, robotics, packaging, conveyors, mixers, driers machinery.
Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.
The machinery will be made up and you will deal with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc. Anyone with mechanical skills in some of these areas would be highly desirable, along with working in a mechanical maintenance role.
**Requirements**:
Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications
Experience with mechanical maintenance work within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
Any experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding would be desirable - training and support can be given on some areas
Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in
Friendly and adaptable working attitude
