We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Catering Supervisor to join our Catering team within our Hotel Services department. This post is based at our main hospital facility in London, and we are offering a competitive salary up to £24,666 per annum.

Our Catering department provides food and beverage to both patients and team members. We cater for all special dietary needs our patients have, and we provide meals in the staff dining room, operations for our visitors Café as well as any catering requirementsfor internal meetings/events.

Job Profile

As a key member of the Catering team you will be responsible for a high quality food & beverage service to patients, staff and visitors in all areas of The London Clinic, as well as the development and supervision of staff to achieve excellence in food servicein line with departmental quality standards.
- Job Type: Full Time, permanent position.
- Hours: 40 hours p/week; Monday to Sunday - 5x shifts p/week within the service hours of 7am to 10pm.
- Location: The London Clinic Main Hospital - 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW (close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).

Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor, enforce and maintain all rules and regulations relating to food hygiene and health and safety at all times.
- Ensure all food service areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness, cleaning schedules and HACCP checklists are completed.
- Supervise staff and plan rotas and holidays to ensure appropriate levels of staff are on duty, as well as carrying out individual performance reviews and identifying training needs with staff.
- Communicate with Dieticians, Nurse Managers and other unit managers on a regular basis to ensure patients and customers receive an appropriate diet, as well as liaise with patients and visitors daily to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attend daily meetings/briefings and ensure all tasks and responsibilities are managed in conjunction with other Catering Service Supervisors.

Skills & Experience
- Experience working as a Catering Assistant in a 4-5* hotel / Hospital / Room service / Restaurant environment.
- Excellent knowledge of catering service and production, as well as food hygiene & safety.
- Good leadership skills with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organiser who is assertive, friendly and able to motivate self and others.
- Good knowledge of the hospitality industry.
