Assembly Technician

**ROLE- Assembly Technician**
**LOCATION- Camberley, Surrey**
**TERM- Permanent**
**SALARY- £25,000- £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)**
My client designs and manufactures engineering instrumentation and equipment, and they are looking to take on an Assembly Technician on a permanent basis, in the Surrey area.
**The Assembly Technician will ideally have the following attributes**:

- BTEC/ ONC/ HNC/ HND / Apprenticeship or similar qualification in Engineering or be qualified by similar experience
- 1 year or more experience of working in a similar hands on assembly / production support role in an electro-mechanical engineering manufacturing environment
- Have strong soldering skills
- Have the ability to perform wiring operations - crimping, cutting, splicing and formation
- Placement and rework down to 0402
- Previous inspection or SMT rework experience would be desirable
- IPC620 and IPC610 would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong technical engineering aptitude to pick up the role quickly
- Have the ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail
- Be willing to take on training and learn new things

**The Assembly Technician role will involve**:

- Working on electro-mechanical assembly
- Soldering
- Involved in the QA of incoming parts
- Carrying out some Inspection & Testing
- Complying to Health & Safety requirements at all time
- Working closely with other members of the engineering team
