Role:
As a Junior Buyer you will be working Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm) within a fantastic and energetic Purchasing team made up 6 existing Buyers. Our client is a market leading distributor within the service industry and the purchasing team oversee the managementof 8 separate but extensive product ranges and supply base, always in line with the overall business values and objectives.
You will be expected to:

- Accurately and consistently keep databases up to date.
- Adhere to budgetary requirements.
- Keep on top of stock turn, manage business cash, and meet targets.
- Maintain supplier relationships, as well as actively source new suppliers.
- Ensure the best price to quality ratio when considering product suppliers.
- Partake in supplier negotiations. It is mandatory that these must be carried out in a professional manner.
- Consider all elements to the supply relationship - including delivery, quality, quantity, service, lead times and cost.
- Ensure orders are delivered as arranged, in full and on time.
- Assist with supplier audits and visits.
- Be aware and track changes in customer demand, interpret reports to predict future sales and communicate these with the sales team.
**Requirements**:
As a Junior Buyer you will have 2years' experience in Purchasing and will have a resolute, determined, and motivated approach and mindset, as well as a drive to continue to develop professionally. You will be able to work in a high-pressured environment bothcalmly and effectively.
You will be expected to have:

- Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
- CIPS qualification or willingness to undertake this (you will be fully supported with all additional learning).
- Perseverance and established negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
