**Job title**:Wraparound Coordinator
**Hours**:20 hours per week, flexible basis
**Location**:Stockport, Greater Manchester with potential travel across the North West
**The Role**
We are looking for a Wraparound Co-ordinator to support with the delivery of the Autism Central programme across the North West.
Applicants must have a good understanding of autism and the challenges faced by autistic people and their families. Applicants must reside or work within the North West and be willing to complete the programme’s national training.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide 1:1 education, training, and support to the parents and carers of autistic people.
- Provide Peer Education sessions using the content provided by Autism Central and including your own lived experience.
- Attending schools and other organisations to deliver Peer Education sessions. Helping to build a relationship with schools, professionals and families. Supporting to build positive partnerships.
- Maintain and develop an up-to-date knowledge of local service provision across the region for appropriate signposting and referrals.
- Engage with families that are hard to reach/in crisis in order to ensure that they are able to access the support that they need.
- Provide support and mentorship to Peer Educators working within the service which may include at times, supporting them to deliver group sessions.
- Attend and complete Autism Central training.
- Build and maintain positive, trust-based relationships with families and young people/adults in order to identify the key issues which are relevant to them.
- Contribute towards the protection of individuals from abuse by adhering to Great Minds Together Child and At-Risk Adults Safeguarding policies at all times.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained and that Great Minds Together GDPR Policy is adhered to at all times.
- Ensure effective and accurate recording and reporting systems in line with Great Minds Together procedures.
- Undertake administrativetasks necessary for the efficient and effective delivery of the key responsibilities in this role.
Additional duties and tasks may be given.
**Requirements for the role**
**Experience**:
- Experience working with and providing support to autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their families - E
- Experience of safeguarding vulnerable children, young people and/or adults - E
- Experience of providing mentorship and coaching to staff or volunteers - D
**Qualifications**:
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g. autism, education, health & social care) - D
**Knowledge & Skills**:
- Ability to communicate effectively around highly sensitive and complex cases with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and with varying needs - E
- An ability to remain calm, objective and proactive when faced with complex cases, including safeguarding - E
- A thorough understanding of the challenges faced by autistic and neurodivergent individuals - E
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills - E
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to be sympathetic and discreet - E
- IT literate and able to use all appropriate software packages - E
- Excellent record-keeping skills - E
**Other**:

- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a clear DBS - E
- Ability and willingness to work during the evening & weekends - E
- Ability to travel to projects, events, and meetings - E
- Clean full driving license with own transport - E

This post is deemed to require an Enhanced DBS Check with the Disclosure and Barring Service due to the fact that there is access to children and vulnerable adults.
