Ventilux was founded in 1986, and has since grown steadily to become one of the largest Independent Emergency Lighting Manufacturers in Europe & the Middle East.

The Head Office in Bray, Co.Wicklow, Ireland, is the centre of the Ventilux operation, with Liverpool as the UK base for distribution, sales order processing and project delivery.

**Lighting Design Engineer Role**

As a Design Engineer, you'll be a key player in our technical support team, contributing to the design and tender process of our customers' project pipelines from design to supply. This engineering support role involves in both dealing with in-depth technical queries and guiding our clients in understanding the wide range of Mains and Emergency Lighting Solutions we offer.

Responsible for providing the lighting design function to the UK office, external sales team, service department and external customers ensuring Ventilux products are promoted and utilized efficiently and effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Act as the interface between customers and the sales team, providing relevant feedback and design support.
- Be a technical resource, to offer internal and external support during the customer design-in phase.
- Read provisional site drawings and specifications to provide advice on best options for provision of Ventilux products.
- Attend client meetings to understand client requirements and promote Ventilux products.
- Support team members upon request to ensure project requirements, deliveries and outcomes fully meet the expectations of all key internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver on all work stages designing lighting plans and schematics to meet customer requirements whilst ensuring Ventilux achieve the best commercial opportunities.
- Use Dialux to produce Mains / Emergency lighting design schemes compliant to British standards
- Use Autocad to create CAD files to show lighting scheme
- Liaise with internal departments to meet project implementation.
- Proactively resolve any issues as they arise.
- Issue technical submittals and approval documents when required
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing up of reports and attending meetings.
- Ensure that all drawings and project documents are controlled, recorded, and updated when revisions are required.
- Ensure that all activity in relation to external customers are logged correctly on the CRM Platform.

**Requirements for the role**
- Experienced, or a degree / equivalent qualification in Electronic / Electrical Engineering
- Proficient in Autodesk CAD
- Experience in Dialux Evo Platform is desirable
- Lighting / Emergency Lighting Design experience is essential.
- Mains Lighting experience an advantage
- Understanding of electronic components and technical drawings
- Would Suit a Graduate Engineer.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English both written and aural
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving
- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven individual, capable of both independent work and collaboration
- Punctual with excellent time management skills
- Full UK Driving Licence desired but not essential
- Currently residing and currently has the right to work within the UK.

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
