Manchester, United Kingdom National Justice Museum Full time

**Job Summary**
The National Justice Museum is a leading public legal education organisation, delivering in-court learning to 30,000 young people nationally every year. We enable all key stages to learn about the court system, careers within it, how the law surrounds and supports society, and how to be an effective citizen. Our award-willing learning workshops for schools and education groups are facilitated with a consistently high standard of knowledge and customer care, ensuring learning objectives are met. Over 50% of schools and colleges return year on year.

We are currently seeking Casual Learning Facilitators to join our expanding team in the North of England. This is no ordinary teaching role—it’s an opportunity to bring the past to life, spark curiosity and make the law memorable through performance, creativity and storytelling. Ideal for someone with a passion for variety, drama and education this role involves delivering dynamic, high-quality sessions that actively engage school audiences. Each day brings a new opportunity to engage learners—whether through historical role-play in costume, the use of authentic objects to stimulate inquiry, or immersive storytelling. Following a period of training, including shadowing and supported delivery, you will progress to leading sessions independently across a wide range of settings: museums, universities, live courtrooms, and schools. Working in close partnership with the Learning Officer and Manager, you will adapt and deliver sessions across all key stages to ensure content remains relevant, impactful, and memorable. You will deliver in character sessions in schools, using costume and handling objects to create engaging, interactive sessions, bringing educational themes to life through dynamic performances making learning memorable, meaningful, and fun.

This role requires a commitment to excellence in educational delivery, a collaborative approach, and a willingness to travel across the region. Training will be provided, and travel and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed for sessions delivered outside of the Greater Manchester area.

**PRINCIPLE DUTIES**
- Facilitate learning sessions with groups of young people at various venues throughout the North
- Be responsible for preparing and clearing up learning spaces before and after each session

- Maintain an excellent standard of customer care at all times
- Provide health and safety information to schools, colleges and other groups
- Positively promote the organisation and its core aims and objectives
- Foster at all times positive relationships with teachers, education groups and members of the public
- Undertake paid initial and ongoing training where necessary
- Undertake any other necessary duties which are relevant to the role
- Positively promote the National Justice Museum and its core aims and objectives with existing and new contacts
- Ensure all legal requirements are adhered to, including Health and Safety, Risk Assessments, Child Protection and Insurance
- Any other duties which are relevant to the role
