Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a care home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

**Duties**:

- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
- Administer medications according to care plans and document accurately
- Monitor and record vital signs, report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans for individual residents
- Supervise and support Care Assistants in their daily tasks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and activities
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment for residents, promoting independence and dignity
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential
- Strong drive and passion for providing excellent care to elderly individuals
- Leadership skills to supervise and support Care Assistants
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with IT systems used in care homes for documentation purposes
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Knowledge of creating and implementing care plans for seniors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.24 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 36.00 per week

**Experience**:

- providing care: 2 years (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (required)
