Building Repair Solutions (BRS) Ltd is an expanding business providing building repairs to domestic properties in the Insurance market. With offices in Essex, the Midlands and Scotland the last few years have seen steady growth leading to us opening a new office covering London West.
BRS is looking to recruit an experienced insurance claims handler based at our Bathgate office.
**We are looking for someone who has previous insurance claims handler experience and has a confident phone manner. Using multiple IT systems, you will be used to a fast-paced environment and thinking on your 'own two feet'.**
Our office provides an excellent working environment as does the team that you'd be working with.
Please note that previous claims handler experience is essential for this role.
**Roles and responsibilities**
- Speaking to insurance claim policy holders after their initial claim has been processed - this is a longer term customer support role where you’ll need to be resilient and adaptable.
- Be a point of contact for customers for updates on the claim process.
- Manage caseloads of claims by using a diary system and communicating with all internal and external parties involved including claims managers, contractors and loss adjusters to provide the best service to the customer.
- Handling diaries of tradesmen and surveyors to visit customers’ homes, keeping all parties updated and in the loop.
**Daily tasks to include**
- Input new claims onto CRM system.
- Contact policy holders to book surveyor appointments.
- Chase costs approvals with clients.
- Liaise with surveyors regarding validation queries.
- Collect excess payments and material choices from policy holders.
- Allocate work to sub-contractor network and internal trades team.
- Book pre-site visits and start dates.
- Check in with policy holders to ensure there are no issues when trades are on site.
**What we're looking for**
- Proven experience within claims, specifically within domestic building insurance.
- Excellent customer service experience and ability to multi task.
- Strong organisation skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and with a varied workload.
- Team player with a passion for helping others.
- Proactive and able to work with initiative.
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
