**Maths and English Lead - English Specialist**

**About the Role**
The Maths and English Lead will work in a specified area of provision and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Group’s English, Maths & Digital Strategy and associated stepping stone qualifications, including functional skills,within that area.
This is a particularly exciting time to join us as we are currently developing an innovative Maths and English delivery model.
You will co-ordinate and lead on the delivery of English and Maths within a curriculum area clearly articulating an ambitious vision and high expectations for what and how all learners can achieve. You will provide excellent support to the curriculum departmentto implement strategies and ensure achievement of internal targets for English, maths and ICT. You will also support the curriculum department with the embedding of English and maths in all curriculum areas.
**You will**
be working across the group providing strategic leadership in Maths and English as well as teaching within your curriculum area. Great communication and leadership skills are essential for this role. You will be required to hold:
- teaching and maths qualifications
- teaching experience within the English specialism (GCSE level would be desirable)
An assessing award and relevant work in industry would be desirable.
This is an exciting opportunity for an existing Maths and English Lead or an experienced English Lecturer looking to take the next step in their career.

You will reportto the Curriculum Manager of your specified department.
