- Job title: Night Shift Supervisor (Cleaning) x2
- Job location: Nottingham Train Station & Eastcroft
- Shifts: Nights (18.30pm until 06.30am) 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- Pay rate: £22079.52 plus 20% shift allowance plus attendance allowance
- Length of Contract: Temporary to Permanent
- Ensuring trains are cleaned to the required standards in an efficient and timely manner so that standards are met.
- The daily allocation of cleaning tasks as well as the monitoring of staff attendance and performance to feedback to management where required. Communication of staffing issues to the Nights Manager.
- Experience Requirements:
- Carry out regular cleaning inspections/audit, address areas where cleaning does not meet the required standards, record cleaning audits.
- Develop and maintain open communication with colleagues to ensure a positive, productive work environment.
- Monitor audit result to ensure all failures are addressed and rectified within allocated completion time.
- Monitor timekeeping and attendance of team members, escalating any concerns to the Nights Manager. Authorising emergency leave and communicating leave requests to nightshift management.
- Updating cleaning logs daily.
- To ensure all health & safety procedures are followed and challenge any activity not following established procedures, escalating any concerns to the Nights Manager.
- Safe use of specialist cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Monitoring of cleaning stocks in the cleaning stores and re-ordering when required.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS- A strong communicator with the proven ability to supervise a team.
- Practical experience within a cleaning operation ideally in a cleaning service setting.
- Strong experience of people management including engagement, challenge and resolving conflict.
- Experienced in Trade Union engagement or ability to demonstrate an understanding of the role trade unions play and the ability to engage with them positively.
- Experience of railway rolling stock would be advantageous but not essential.
- Resilient self-starter with a passion for service excellence.
- Demonstrable understand of safety in the workplace and ability to lead a team in a safety compliant manner.
- Prior Health & Safety accredited training is desirable.
- Reliable and organised with the ability to work under pressure.
