**About the Position**
The Head of Product is responsible for overseeing the development of existing & new products. They will work with a variety of different stakeholders—including designers, engineers, marketers, and other product managers—to ensure that each new feature/product meets the needs of its intended audience.
You may also be responsible for managing the flow of information between various departments within the company. This might include ensuring that design teams have all the information they need to create a great user experience or making sure that engineering teams are kept in the loop about any changes to the product’s features or functionality.
**What will I do?**
- This role is a management position, requiring you to handle team organization, workload management, recruitment, and professional growth for your team members
- Act as the product leader for initiatives that extend current and future capabilities of the SearchLight platform
- Evaluate new technology and incorporating it into existing products or creating new products based on new technology
- Help Marketing develop campaigns to promote new products or services to consumers
- Meet with clients to discuss product development needs and providing proposals for solutions
- Reviewing sales reports to determine which products are performing well and which need improvement
- Collaborating with designers to create prototypes of new products or improve existing designs
- Reviewing customer feedback to understand how customers are using products and how they could be improved
- Identifying market trends and consumer preferences to predict which products will be popular in the future
- Holding meetings with staff members to discuss upcoming product developments or changes in company policy
- Work on a team of high-performing product professionals in a very collaborative environment
- Comply with all relevant Searchlight Security policy and process, as well as recognised industry best practice
- Complete any other duties as required by the business
**What are we looking for?**
- Experience working as a “Head of”-level PM role preferably with significant experience in Cyber Security (Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Security, SIEM, and/or Security Analytics)
- Communication - As the Head of product management, you will be responsible for communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including other managers, engineers, marketing teams and customers. Effective communication will help you to convey ideas and ensure that everyone is on the same page.
- Research - As the Head of product management, you will be responsible for researching the market and consumer needs to determine what products and features we should develop. You will also research competitors to understand their products and how your company can improve upon them.
- Problem-solving - As the Head of product management, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of a new feature or product. This means you will need to identify potential issues and develop solutions to ensure success.
- Strategic thinking - As the Head of product management you must have strong strategic thinking skills to be able to evaluate the success of a feature or product and determine if it should continue to be produced.
- Leadership - You will be responsible for leading a group of product managers. Leadership skills will help you to motivate your team and encourage them to work together to find solutions to challenges. You will also use leadership skills to delegate tasks and motivate your team to complete them.
