**Wellbeing Support Coordinator

**Objective and Summary**
We are looking for an empathetic and committed Mental Health Practitioner to support service users involved in our Orbit programme. Your role will be to ensure the service users feel supported and engaged throughout their time on the programme.
**What will you be doing?**
- Triage service users and signpost them to support pathways.
- Offer wellbeing support through 1-to-1 phone and in person sessions
- Liaise with the therapy and operations team to ensure the service users needs are met with accurate information to ensure the best support path is tailored
- Refer complex cases to Therapy Lead
- Collaborate with Therapy Lead to resolve safeguarding concern when they occur
- Complete supporting admin tasks and note taking regarding service users
- Support research around mental health services and best practice
- Build local relationships with wellbeing and service providers
- Liaise with representatives from the organisation and external agencies
- Guarantee service user confidentiality is protected at all times
- Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating bodies and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set out by the department of health
- Attend relevant training in line with identified professional objectives
- At all times ensure safeguarding is at the forefront
- Comply with all the policies and procedures
- Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the organisation as and when required to promote best practice

**This role is based in Bexleyheath**
**Practical Considerations**
Contract type : 12 months fixed term
Working hours: 40 hours a week, flexible working pattern as required for supporting service users)
Salary rate: 23,000-26,000 (DOE)
6 month probationary period
Flexible/hybrid working between office and at home. You will be required to travel to visit service users in their own settings.
**What knowledge and experience will I need?**
Education and experience:
- Experience working with people dealing with mental health issues
- Previous experience working in a pastoral, wellbeing role, or similar
- Experience working in a team
- Experience working or volunteering in community spaces / non-profit environment
- Experience in a mentoring role, or similar
Knowledge:
- General knowledge of standard administration / note taking practices
- Understanding of Mental Health issues in the community and mood in the West Midlands
- Psychologically informed and understanding of how mental health / wellbeing issues present / manifest
**Skills**:
- Able to speak empathetically to a variety of service users and partners
- Able to pick up on context clues and build trust with service users
- Excellent ICT skills, specifically Google Suite
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to set up rapport with people
- Ability to make decisions in the moment
