**General Retail Sales Assistant_: _**

Schedule: Monday - Sunday

Our stores are open 7 days a week and you will be expected to work weekends.

Contract type: Permanent position, 30 hours per week - with the option to flex up hours as and when required

Working Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (6 hours per day)

Start date: Immediate

Location: Camping World, Hornbrook Park, Brighton Rd, Horsham RH13 6QA

**The Role**:
Playing a key role within our team, you will assist the Manager in day to day duties to ensure the store is performing to the maximum potential. You will be dealing with customers every day, providing product knowledge and excellent customer service (training provided). The role combines till operation, sales, merchandising, and customer service skills in a busy store environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve customers efficiently at the till, correctly accounting for all transactions
- Develop and manage relationships with new and returning customers, including dealing with any issues that may arise, order queries and product queries.
- Maintaining shop and showroom presentation standards, including the tent/ awning displays
- Maintaining Health & Safety standards within the store
- Monitoring and reporting on customer feedback and insight to support your manager to spot trends and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty to grow our business
- Coach and drive yourself and others to exceed targets, company sales and customer service standards.
- Manage order call off and inbound deliveries
- Effective administrative control of customer orders, pre-orders, repairs and ad hoc items.

**Essential skill set required**:

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn
- (preferred) Passionate about camping and the outdoors, you will need to learn a depth of knowledge on the products.
- A polite and friendly telephone manner
- Excellent customer service, friendly and authentic
- A natural problem solver who takes the initiative as the opportunity arises
- Copes well under pressure and within time scales
- Punctual
