PCB Soldering Technician

**Alfen is delighted to be working with a leading manufacturer of high performance mobile electrical devices used to identify and track products, assets, data or personnel. We’re currently on the lookout for PCB Assembly Technicians - who take great pridein their work to join their talented Production team in their Loughborough HQ.

**Job Description and experience:

- Assemble electronic parts and systems into final products with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Responsibility to follow established procedures, assemble and test products, fault find.
- Take corrective action and advise of findings to staff members to produce products which conform to relevant electronic standards and external test house standards.
- Responsibility to adhere to processes relating to the Company’s ISO 9001:2015 status.
- Responsibility to liaise with Manufacturing Staff regarding preparation of goods for shipping in accordance with Company processes.
- Must have a high degree of literacy/numeracy.
- Be able to work on your own initiative, as part of a team, be diligent & conscientious.

This company is currently looking to expand within it’s engineering, R&D and product development functions. We’re on the lookout for talented Embedded Linux Engineers to join their flexible working opportunities, with the company providing a friendly workenvironment.

Job Description & Experience:

- Providing exceptional customer service.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Proven experience with embedded linux and/or android development and open source software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Be familiar with source code control systems (e.g SVN) and using them to facilitate stable release and point fixes.
- Previous experience of software/firmware implementation and debugging.
- Proven Experience of design using C.
- Numerate degree or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 2 years hands on experience of working in an Embedded development environment.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience of GNU toolchain.
- Knowledge and experience of ARM SOC’s.
- Experience of working in an agile scrum development environment.
- Experience of human interface device design.
- Experience of BSP and configuration tools.
- Experience of networking socket API and IPv4, IPv6, REST and protocols.
- Experience of coding in an RTOS environment.
- Any experience of video digital standards (HDMI, HDCP, SDI, Codecs, Audio) and their implementation.
