**Company Description**

Regent House is a registered residential care home located near to the town centre of Clacton-On-Sea, providing care and support to adults with mental health needs. The home itself can accommodate 22 residents, each with their own private room.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant you will be a vital part of the team and home itself, supporting residents to ensure they all receive a high standard of care and support to meet their daily needs.

**Working hours are as follows**:
35 hours (ability to be flexible to support with additional hours when required)

Morning shift: 07:30 - 14:30
Afternoon shift: 14:30 - 21:30
“Sleep In” and Awake Night shift: 21:30 - 07:30

**Key roles of the Care Assistant**:

- Provide residents with care and support. Always promoting privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment.
- Support the management team in ensuring all key documentation is up to date and all records are recorded correctly.
- Having a “hands on” approach to their working day, supporting residents where required.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment within the home.
- Some aspects of personal care required.
- Adhere to the homes policies and procedures.

**Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience working as a care assistant desirable.
- Previous experience of working with Mental Health is desirable.
- Self-motivated and flexible.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

**Qualifications**
- Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent is preferred but an opportunity to complete this will be available.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- £9.50 - £10.50 p/h
