**Polypipe Building Products** are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

Polypipe are currently recruiting for an Carrier Team Leader to join the Despatch team at our Broomhouse Lane site.

**Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with Department Management before taking decisions which affect the overall operation.
- Coordinate the work and activities of the carriers & collections team.
- Obtain information - observing, receiving, and otherwise acquire information from all relevant sources.
- Maintain a safe working environment - conduct floor walks, follow up action points, measure housekeeping daily using the correct process.
- Make decisions and find solutions - analyze information, evaluate results to achieve the best solution.
- Complete return to work interviews following employee absence.
- Ensure all workers are encouraged to maintain workplace, personal and environmental hygiene standards at all times.
- Have an awareness of site priorities and how these affect your department, where possible assist in achieving these
- Ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest possible standard on time and on a regular basis.
- Accurately completes any and all registers.
- Any other duties as required by Management.

**Requirements**:

- Able to work to deadlines with flexibility towards hours worked.
- A minimum of 24 months’ warehouse experience, (picking/packing/loading) environment.
- The ability to use owninitiative with excellent organisational skills.
- High level of process adherence and accuracy in following Safe Systems of Work
- Reliable, honest, committed.
- Able to work under pressure and take ownership of processes and responsibility for own workload.
- Team Player
- Attention to detail
- Experience of working in fast paced environment

**Hours of Work**:Days and Afters. 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00.

**Rate of Pay**:£11.69 per hour.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.69 per hour
