Mpeople Recruitment are seeking an experienced office administrator on behalf of our client based in Oldham. This is a temporary opportunity with the opportunity for the right person to gain a permanent contract.
- Salary/Pay Rate: £11 per hour (equivalent of £23,000 annually)
- Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
- Location: Currently in Oldham town centre, but are moving to Hollinwood within the next two months (right near Hollinwood tram stop)

The Office Administrator (purchasing) position is very fast paced and requires you to be methodical within the systems our client use as part of our day-to-day operations. Our client are a reputable and well-established IT solutions provider that deliver services to the Educational and SME sectors.

Duties will include:

- Creation and updating of Purchase Orders and Quotes
- Dealing with general queries on product and pricing and to complete the administrative tasks required for effective operation of the Purchasing/Admin Team
- Ensuring suppliers are delivering to agreed timescales
- Managing stock for materials to ensure efficient delivery of products to customers
- Managing and reviewing minimum stock levels
- Working with our customers to develop strong relationships
- Liaising with external suppliers
- Dealing with internal queries from colleagues
- Working on existing accounts and potential new accounts to make sure best price and terms and conditions are achieved

Required expeirence/skills/attributes:

- Experience working within a varied office administration position is essential (minimum 18 months)
- Experience of working within a purchasing position or producing quotations is desirable but not essential
- Experience using Xero is also advantageous but not essential
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must have the ability to adapt to changing business needs
- Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and relationship building (over the telephone) skills
- Must be confident using various Microsoft packages (outlook, word, excel etc).
