**Job Title**:Housekeeping Assistant

**Reports to**:Operations Team Leader

**Hours**:32 hours per week (4 x 8 hours per day Monday to Sunday - work pattern to be agreed)

**Rate of Pay**:Starting at £12.00 per hour and rising to £13.20 per hour upon successful completion of probationary period.

**Holidays**:6 weeks (pro rata).

**Job Overview**

As Housekeeping Assistant you will help ensure that the cleanliness of our various buildings and office areas is maintained to the highest possible standards.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure that all areas (offices and communal areas eg. kitchen, toilets, corridors, building exteriors) are cleaned efficiently, in a timely manner and to the required high standards.
- Carry out occasional deep cleans, as required, of various QQH buildings/accommodations.
- Supporting Project Support Workers to clean and prepare accommodation for the arrival of new Service Users.
- Adherence to Health & Safety procedures and working practices, including the safe use and storage of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Reporting immediately any safety hazards and/or building maintenance issues.
- Building positive and productive working relationships with colleagues.

**Essential Job Criteria**
- Have at least 6 months’ cleaning experience.
- Be methodical and logical in planning, prioritising and carrying out your work.
- Pay excellent attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
- Be flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Take pride in what you do.
