A fantastic new opportunity as full time, Finance Assistant based in Preston. The position is an immediate start on a 3-month temporary position with a hourly rate between £11.00 - £13.00.

**Client Details**

My client is part of the Public Sector and Government industry based in Preston. They cover a huge geographic area and a wide range of communities, supporting with a variety of services to people who live in Lancashire by working efficiently and effectivelyto prioritise the services they require.

**Description**

The key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to;
- Finance Assistant background
- Public Sector and Government
- Ability to travel to Preston
- Range of supplier account management process
- To resolve queries to ensure accounts and verified correctly
- Ensure that invoice is accurate for the processing of payments
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Raising debtor invoices
- Liaising with internal and external clients to support and resolve in various queries
- Provide support across the Accounts Payable department when required
- Ensure that compliance, advice, and guidance is given on policies and procedures
- Processing CHAPS payment

- Finance Assistant background
- Background in Public Sector and Government
- Ability to travel to Preston
- Ability to work in a fast-paced department
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good oral communications as well as verbally and in writing
- Highly motivated and dedicated to thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and maintain working relationships
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and multitask
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes
- Demonstrate discretion and confidentiality
- Good IT skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to provide good customer service
