Kennel and Cattery Assistant

If you love animals, and can work in a VERY busy environment with the attention to details and a endless care for our pet guest, a **mature** understanding of the needs and good customer care then read on.

We are looking for the right person/s to join us working within a busy cattery, kennels and daycare & Grooming salon.

You will be part of a team caring for the day to day up keeping of the pets in our care.

We have very high standards and expect all our team to put the care and welfare of the pets at the highest level and take pride in your own work.

You will be responsible for the cleaning of pens, feeding, walking, exercise of dogs and maintaining the comfort and well-being of the cats and their surroundings.

We also board various other kinds of pets, Rabbits, birds, ferrets, Reptiles etc.

Your job is to ensure all pets have the time, attention and care they require.

We operate a holiday home for pets and as such our pets well-being is our primary concern at all times.

Main areas of pet care are:
- 1st: working in catteries. Working with the cats you will have a knowledge and natural affinity with cats, understanding that attention to detail is standard and Every Cat must be treated as individual ensuring their stay is the best that can be achieved. A high standard of cleaning and attention to details is required. Diets need to be understood fully. grooming is standard to with us.

2nd: working with the dogs, this is a very labor intensive role, attention to detail and a very high level of physical stamina is required. Our pet get lots of exercise and as such not only is it important to be able to sustain the energy to ensure our dog guests get the exercise but also the environment is keep immaculate at all times. Not all dogs are the same and as such it is important that all natures are understand, the individual needs are met. Our aim is to at least maintain, preferably to improve on the dogs confidence if required and for a dog guest to go home tired after having a great time, happy and fully relaxed after a great holiday experience with us.

We are Busy all year round.

The Job is varied hours according to season and requirements of the pets we have staying.

Hours will vary between 7am - 6pm daily on a 7 day rota

Shift patterns are usually split shifts 7am-12pm & 3pm-6pm daily

**We work on a 7 day rota including bank holidays & Christmas day, all are classed as normal working days. We operate for boarding 365 day a years so all applicants must be aware they will be expected to work on some bank holidays on a pro rota basis within the team**
