This client specialises in niche technical verticals that includes Specialist Cloud Services as well as IT Solutions and IT Services partnering global IT industry leaders such as Nimbus, Microsoft, VMware, NetApp and Cisco.

This role requires a Senior Technical person to be responsible for the hands-on running of the clients Cloud Operations & Cloud Services including their Nimbus Cloud Services, IaaS, BaaS, DRaaS and services running in Microsoft Azure.

Going in, you will lead a small Cloud Operations Team with imminent new hires and growth planned. Additionally, this role will provide an excellent opportunity to work with some of the latest Cloud Technologies and Applications, As well as the Managementof the Cloud Services Team, you will be required to offer strategic direction and allocation of tasks required to deliver a Business Assured Cloud Service in the UK in line with service levels offered to customers.

**Your key areas of responsibility will be tosupport, manage and take ownership of Cloud Services and Infrastructure Operations related to Client Services.**

**Operational Responsibilities**:

- Management of UK Cloud operations including all the physical and virtual Infrastructure that delivers a range of 'as a Service' solutions
- Ensure correct levels of health & performance monitoring and management are in place for cloud services
- Ensure capacity management policies and thresholds are documented and adhered to
- Identifying and managing software and hardware upgrades in line with change management process
- Planning and performing any client tests for Nimbus Cloud services in line with SLAs
- Ensuring new Nimbus Cloud services are transitioned into the TAC
- Support Pre-Sales by validating Nimbus Cloud scope documents and adding low level design elements as required.
- Working with Pre-Sales to manage Proof of Concept (PoC) deployments for Nimbus cloud services as required
- On-boarding new customers to Cloud Services by means of migration or green field deployments
- Provide 3rd line escalation support for Nimbus cloud services to TAC as required.
- Provide pro-active ideas and strategic technical direction via research and the attendance of various physical and virtual vendor events by working with the European CTO
- Responsible for regular 121 meetings and assessments of Cloud Services team members
- To maintain accurate records within the Company databases.
- To attend CAB meetings on a regular basis as a senior member of the change board
- To attend any job-related training arranged by the Company
