**Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Inspection of incoming products to ensure consistency and integrity. Inspections to include, but not limited to: - dimensional inspections to design drawings for form, fit & function (using a tape measure, callipers etc.), electrical circuit resistance, coating thickness & condition, PMI. Material and works test reports for traceability and compliance with order specifications.
- To process and communicate with external providers any rejections and corrective action reports relating to incoming products.
- To inspect, including verification of parts against order, visual & electrical testing of spares orders and process to dispatch department.
- Processing of inspection data - hard and soft copy records.
- To produce detailed and accurate inspection records and assist in resolving any resulting issues.
- Liaising with Engineers, Production Supervisors and production staff as appropriate to discuss and resolve any issues arising regarding heater bundles and control panels.
- To support and aid the training of any trainee/new staff as required.
- To work in accordance with the Quality and Health & Safety Management systems meeting the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001.
- The ability to support QC Inspectors with electrical testing and inspection against engineering drawings, procedures and documentation of products during all stages of manufacture, checking heater design criteria identifying and bringing to the attention of the Engineers and Technical Director or the QHSE Manager any potential problems, as appropriate. Other responsibilities to assist goods out inspection to include, flash testing, baffle lay out, element lay out, hydrostatic testing & helium leak detection testing. Able to support QC Inspectors with carrying out the final inspection and demonstrative testing against customer specification of completed products in the presence of client / third party representatives, when necessary, and authorise for release once successfully validated.
- Other work as required as part of the Quality Control team.
**Skills and experience required**:
- An ability to work well in a dynamic and pressured workshop environment,
- An ability to work and organise workload independently and as part of team,
- A methodical, reliably systematic approach to work,
- A good eye for detail,
- A keen approach and willingness to learn, and
- Good computer literacy.
- The following would be advantageous:
- Knowledge / experience of the inspection of electrical / mechanical products within an Oil and Gas/ Petro-chemical / Pharmaceutical environment,
- A thorough understanding and use of standard measuring equipment,
- An ability to read engineering drawings, and
- An understanding / knowledge of ATEX, PD5500, ASME, PED standards.
**Key Interfaces**:
- _Technical Director_: To carry out regular 1 to1‘s to assess current workloads, issues, project status. To assist in the allocation of resource to suit project changing requirements.
- _QHSE Manager_: To attend meetings as requested to do so and to assist as directed.
- _Engineers: _Liaise with Engineering staff relating to issues arising from inspections and testing.
- _Production: _ Resolving any issues or technical queries to ensure production assembly is smooth and unhindered. Communicating with Design Office staff to get any issues resolved in a timely manner.
- _Dispatch: _ Communicating with despatch staff so to avoid delayed release of heaters and panels.
- _QC / QA: _ To provide training, guidance and assistance in allocation of resources as requested by Management.
The Employee shall devote the whole of his/her time, attention and skill to his/her duties hereunder and in addition such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required of him/her for the proper and efficient running of the Employer’s business.**QC Inspector**

- To carry out the final inspection and demonstrative testing against customer specification of completed products in the presence - or via remote videoconferencing means - of client / third party representatives, when necessary, and authorise for release once successfully validated.
