To supervise and lead retail merchandise teams within Wembley stadium on match days and events days throughout the year within a specified area. Your role will be to prepare work areas, support on the day of a match/event as well as close-down duties. This position will be on a casual basis as and when we have events during the year. This may, on occasion, also include work in Twickenham stadium, as well as several ofour estates throughout the UK if needed.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the supervising and leading of Merchandise work teams across Wembley stadium.
- To achieve or exceed area financial targets, delivering on retail sales and profit.
- Leading and supporting Fan engagement by monitoring service in your teams to ensure we are delivering world-class service.
- Ensuring retail location displays within your designated area are to fanatics standards and are commercially correct to maximise commercial success.
- Communicating over radio or other mediums to ensure products placement is maximised across Wembley stadium as well as communicating any issues to be resolved.
- Ensure stock takes are done pre-open and post-open to ensure stock is correct.
- Ensuring a satisfactory close down of the units within your supervision. This includes being tidy, stock adequately stored and displays tidy and neat ready for the next event.
- Cashing up and closing the tills at the end of the event.
- Utilize business metrics in decision making, including but not limited to; revenue targets, per cap and UPT.
- Communicate expectations to employees under your supervision via briefings and ongoing coaching during the match/event
- Provide training and assistance to new employees as required.
- Provide feedback to associates based on observed job performance, fan comments and knowledge of the work environment.
- Challenge and rectify behavioural issues in accordance with HR policy.
- Ensure Security and Uniform protocol is followed by employees under your supervision as well as yourself.
- Undertake bag checks at the end of shifts of staff under your supervision.
- Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which your manager or assistant manager asks you to perform.
- Take an active interest in Fanatics and Wembley and ensure your communication with the Wembley team is active.
Hours of work: Casual hours, defined within the event schedule of Wembley stadium.
