Next Generation have been appointed to lead the recruitment for a Health & Safety Officer to work with a leading global manufacturer. As the Health & Safety Officer you will be responsible for reporting to the H&S Manager, managing ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards promoting a positive HSE culture.

**What’s on offer for the Health & Safety Officer?**
- Competitive salary up to £36,000 p.a. (DOE)

**Working hours of the Health & Safety Officer**:

- Monday - Thursday (7.00am - 16.00pm)
- Fridays (7am - 12 noon)

**Duties of the Health & Safety Officer**:

- Providing advice and support to teams to meet requirements of legislation, ISO standards and company processes & procedures
- Supporting implementation of HSE Policies to drive improvements and gain / maintain certification
- Promoting a proactive approach to HSE management including regular floor walks & contact with supervisors & managers to ensure issues are clearly understood and effectively managed.
- Investigation of site issues, accidents, incidents including production of accident & incident reports and root cause analysis
- Liaising with third party auditors.
- Facilitating the delivery of corrective and preventive actions for significant issues in conjunction with the relevant teams / managers
- Internal Auditing / Supplier auditing with reporting and follow up of findings
- 3 - 5 year’s working within H&S within a manufacturing facility (Essential)
- IOSH Working Safely (Essential)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
- NEBOSH Diploma (desirable)
- 3 - 5 years’ experience working within a manufacturing/production environment (Essential)
- Absolute understanding of ISO14001 & 45001 QMS (Essential)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
