**Automation Test Lead**

As a Barclays Automation Test Lead, you will be working as a senior automation test engineer focusing on Java. As part of your new roll, you will have full engagement with the program /project, to plan and forecast automation deliverables. You will also build efficiency in testing and improvement of testing methods, techniques and processes. You will plan and drive DevOps automation to support regression testing across the mobile platform. Also, you will identify own and others’ development needs and seek opportunities to address these needs.

**What will you be doing?**
- Ensuring the mobile automation approach its optimised and meets project goals without compromising quality and time to market
- Growing and improving test automation to reduce availability dependencies on downstream systems and reducing project downtime to protect timelines and save on cost
- Implementing, innovative and creative improvements to the Automation strategy to help increase coverage and reduce project test timelines
- You will be responsible for the quality of mobile automations services and standards across the development lifecycle
- You will be in charge of resource management activities within the programme/projects and ensure effective utilization
- Ensuring constructive working relationships within team and with other functional groups; both onshore and offshore

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience and knowledge in languages i.e. JavaScript
- Working knowledge & experience within test automation
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Software Development experience
- Component testing with JavaScript
- JIRA (Issue tracking and Test management)
