Night Porter

The Kelling Estate are recruiting for a Night Porter at The Pheasant Hotel, situated in the beautiful village of Kelling, close the Historic Georgian Town of Holt in North Norfolk.

Set on the spectacular North Norfolk coast, The Pheasant Hotel is the perfect destination for a holiday, offering traditional luxury room stay, aswell as beautiful self-catering holiday cottages and Shepherds Huts. There is also a lovely restaurant that serves delcious food.

As a Night Porter you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running and the security of the hotel during the night. You will provide porter services, security and reception services, assisting guests and staff in any way possible.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Late bar work
- General housekeeping to ensure all hotel areas remain tidy and presentable at all times
- Preparation of breakfast trays and service to the rooms when required.
- Clear down and lay up Restaurant for breakfast and to the Hotel standards as trained
- To assist with the correct service of the Room Service menu and beverages.
- Order newspapers and deliver where necessary
- Carry out timely and efficient Morning Call service as required
- Print notices and change notice boards as required
- Ensure attention to detail is maintained whilst opening up other departments and ensure all departmental checklists are completed
- Man reception until receptionist takes over
- Deal with guests promptly on arrival and departure, as per the hotel Standards for check in and check out procedure
- To assist guests with luggage when required
- To conduct a minimum of 2 security checks, inside and out during the night
- To be aware of hotel security and fire/emergency procedures at all times
- To be responsible for the general security of the company property, departmental keys, stock and comply with Health & Safety responsibilities
Live -in accommodation may be available dependent on current availability.
