**Job description - the role**
Our client, Deutsche Bank, is a global banking business with strong roots in Germany and operations in over 70 countries. Their large but focused footprint gives them an established position in Europe plus a significant presence in the Americas and Asia Pacific. Deutsche Bank offer their clients commercial and investment banking, retail banking and transaction banking as well as ground-breaking asset and wealth management products and services.

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, AMS are now looking for a **Project Lead - Know Your Client (KYC)** to work in their **Client Lifecycle Management** team based in **Birmingham** on a PAYE basis.

**Overview**:
Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) in Global KYC Operations is responsible for performing KYC on clients of Deutsche Bank Group and Affiliates across Corporate Investment Banking. As KYC Quality Assurance (QA), you will be providing assurance to stakeholders as to whether Deutsche Bank’s KYC files reviewed meet the standards defined in the KYC Policy - Deutsche Bank Group and local requirements (where applicable) through assessment of KYC file, including ascribed Client Risk Ratings and Due Diligence activities undertaken by the Business to manage Financial Crime Risks presented by the Client.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Operate as a project lead and KYC expert, creating and maintaining a project plan encompassing the team initiatives
- Manage multiple work streams and stakeholders, providing timely updates to the lead
- Undertake accurate and consistent KYC Quality Assurance reviews when required in line with internal standards and policies
- Identify risks within processes and working practices, working with stakeholders across the 3 Lines of Defense to resolve
- Support and contribute towards a continuous improvement program of work borne out of a QA testing results, asses root causes and thematic issues proposing steps to be taken to eliminate, evidencing improvements

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- An expert level of understanding on KYC and Financial Crime matters with experience of dealing with multiple work streams in a project environment with an ability to build professional reports
- Critical experience of change, stakeholder management and communication with Senior Management
- Analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think laterally around issues, proposing solutions where required
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment against deadlines
- Effective communication, organization and prioritization skills with ability to contribute to significant improvements in operational processes and policies
