Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Night Transport Planner to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Wakefield site, working hours Mon - Fri (21.00 - 07.00).

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum. We also offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Booking in orders for customer deliveries
- Creating effective haulage plans in line with the customer’s expectations and Service Level Agreements.
- To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment.
- Consistency in communication with respect to planning changes and service delivery with both customers and supplier hauliers, this is critical and must be maintained at all times.
- Work with the Finance Team to resolve customer and haulier issues.
- A team player with a flexible approach to working hours, showing commitment as necessary to satisfying fluctuating business demands.

**What you need to succeed at XPO**:

- Experience of transport planning in a 3PL environment is desirable.
- Good working knowledge of UK Geography.
- Experience in using transport planning software.
- Awareness of Large Good Vehicles and Trailer combination equipment types.
- Successful tracking record in communication and building relationships with customers.
- Experience in a challenging Customer Service environment.
