At our recently upgraded site at King George Dock we operate the UK’s largest refinery for edible oils and fats. We supply businesses in the sectors of food manufacturing, baking, foodservice and retail, and we work closely with customers to co-develop bespokeproducts.
**About the role**
AAK are seeking to appoint a Lubrication Technician to join the Maintenance team at Site Hull. This is a Monday to Friday, days role and will report into the Reliability Engineer.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide expert knowledge and support on all lubrication and oil analysis activities and enquires on site, including liaising with vendors and contractors, as well as the appropriate maintenance and operations personnel.
- Responsible for managing lubrication stocking and storage - including undertaking regular stock and store inspections, ensuring good housekeeping is maintained, managing minimum stocking and re-order levels for each lubricant and placing orders where necessary.
- Ensure storage facilities meet all HSE and environmental regulations.
- Responsible for the mechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvements.
- Develop and maintain a lubrication schedule to be built into AAK to ensure work orders are issued correctly, including developing a KPI for monitoring the completion of the lubrication PM activity.
- Manage the lubrication schedule for greasing, drains, refills and top-ups in conjunction with the OEMs, oil supplier’s support personnel and independent sources to best practice standard.
- Implement and manage a tagging system in the stores, on the oil containers, on the dispensing equipment and on the machines to indicate the type of oil in use.
- Manage the oil analysis programme, from sampling to actual maintenance recommendations.
- Schedule, collect, label and send samples for analysis.
- Receive and evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenance.
- Educate and train Maintenance and Production/Operations employees with basic lubrication awareness
- Be responsible for building and keeping current, a technical manual and library for both lubrication and oil analysis activity.
**About you**:
- Able to demonstrate a strong and consistent PDP history.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment is desirable
- Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high accuracy.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to work unsupervised
